Natural Hazard Consulting is my company, based in the UK. Through the company, I provide a range of consulting services worldwide, for companies, governments, government agencies, NGOs, and others on natural hazard-related information. I research, produce quantitative and qualitative analysis, and create literature reviews, reports, and written work for a range of natural hazards. From my academic background, I have expertise of multiple natural hazards (such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, tropical cyclones, and volcanoes) and have extensively researched the interactions between these hazards. Through a variety of projects, I have knowledge of the effects of climate change on natural hazards, humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction (DRR), flood modelling, global databases, international development, and Eco-DRR.
My main output is communication of natural hazards and risk. The work has ranged across a variety of medium from Twitter, blogging, magazine articles, academic papers, report writing, website content, and infographics. My background in science, physical geography, and natural hazards provides me with the necessary abilities to be able to understand natural hazards and the complexities acting between them, whilst my skills in writing create an opportunity to be able to communicate research findings to a range of audiences.
